Using the Force

So I recently started getting back into Star Wars again, it started a couple weeks ago when i started rebuilding some of My Star Wars LEGO sets. That opened up a whole can of worms. Soon after, I started watching the CGI Clone Wars cartoon, then I picked up the first Republic Commando book and started reading that, following that I started replaying Knights of The Old Republic. My mind is just filled with Star Wars, Star Wars , Star Wars. I feel like a kid again. AND IT IS AWESOME.

I began thinking about drawing some Star Wars characters, but rather than drawing the more well known ones (Han, Luke, Chewie, etc...), I really wanted to do more of the lesser known ones. Characters whose origins and adventures are more set in the expanded universe, or characters who are seen in the film, but aren't quite as prominent as the main cast.

So here are the first three of my Star Wars character pieces:

I'm planning to do more and add to the collection.

If you'd like a mini print of one of these, email me (as usual, address is at top of page), I want to try and get at least 10 orders on each one before I consider printing them. Sounds greedy I know, but I need to cover printing costs, an the more I can print at once, the cheaper it is! If you'd like one get in touch and let me know, so I can work out how many I need to do before I start charging for them. Price will be £3 for a 10cm by 10cm (roughly) mini print. Price includes postage. The mini prints will be signed by me, assuming you want the tattered scrawl of an unkown artist slapped across it.

Thanks!

Also, before I go... follow me on Twitter! Sometimes I give away free prints!

Scary Womanizing Ace Spelunking Psychic Pokemon Training Attorney

Another commission done, with a very specific brief.

Details: Basically a pin up of a character (male) wearing Ness's hat (and holding his bat), the green hair from the kid on Cave Story, a belt with pokeballs on it, a silver neckless with the Star of David, the big pig grunt's pig mask. Dressed in a blue suit (Pheonix Wright), and maybe one or two tiny Touhou fairies.

The result:

Just realised, I completely missed the Star of David necklace. My bad! As usual, email me if you'd like to commission something!

Merry Christmas!

Zombies, dinosaurs and giant ROBOTS.

So I was recently commissioned to do a piece of art by my lovely friends of Destructoid UK, it was to be a gift to Capcom Europe's community manager, a thank you for all the times that she has offered us opportunites to go to Capcom events in the UK. Sadly, I couldn't be with them as they presented it to her, as I had to go to work.

I hope she liked it.

The printed version came out a lot darker than intended, but it was still good quality.

Mikey

P.S. Just to let you know, I'm still open for commissions! Just email me if you're interested, my address can be found on the blog header.

Sketch Card #4 - Pikachu

Another day, another sketch card! Here we have Pikachu! Ah, Pokémon. Anyone else spend as much time in Viridian Forest looking for this little beast as I did?

If you would like to buy this card, it'll cost you £7. It's hand drawn on a piece of card and measures 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches. Payment can be made through PayPal. Contact me if you're interested! My email address can be found in the header.

Thank you! Don't forget, I also do commissions! Get in touch if you want me to draw something!

Little Wheel

Here's an interesting little Flash game. It's a point and click adventure with robots! I really loved the style on this. It's not the most complicated puzzle game ever, but it's satisfying to play. It doesn't take too long to complete either.

Sketch Card #3 - Kazehaya and Sawako

New sketch card done! This one was commissioned, so unfortunately it was sold before I even started. Depicted on the card is Kazehaya and Sawako, from the manga and anime Kimi ni Todoke (if Google is to be believed).

If you would like to commission me for a card, simply email me! My email address can be found in the header. Commissioned cards cost £10.

Thank you!

Mikey.

Zombieland

This is a neat little timewaster, a zombie outbreak simulator! Just adjust the settings and watch the madness unfold before your very eyes. You can even adjust the speed of the zombies! You could go for the classic Romero shufflers or the more modern sprinting kind. Have fun!

It could be a useful tool when preparing strategies for the eventual zombie apocalypse!
